Locata - Underground Warning Tapes
Our Locata Warning Tape is a non-adhesive film which is printed with a warning message and comes in a variety of bright colours to aid the discovery of underground utilities such as electric cables, gas and water pipes. Commonly specified by Electricity Distribution Network Operators, Locata Warning Tape is fully compliant with ENA TS 12-23 and EN12613 standards. You can therefore buy Locata Warning Tape with confidence knowing that you are buying a product which is widely used and trusted within the industry.
Centriforce generally recommends that Locata® Warning Tape is installed a specified distance above the underground utilities that you are looking to protect so as to provide workers with as early a visual warning as possible.
Locata® Warning Tape is commonly teamed up with our Stokbord Cable Cover and Tapetile utility protection rolls to add further protection for underground cables and pipes by introducing a mechanical barrier above the utilities. This helps to significantly reduce the chance of damage on account of accidental impacts.
Detectable Also Available
Centriforce also offers a detectable version of Locata® Warning Tape which features a laminated steel tracer wire so that it can easily be detected from above the surface with the use of most common cable protection tools.
