Longitudinal Sight Glass with Dead-space-free Seal
Longitudinal sight glasses are an indispensable component for complex production-process tanks. Previously compromises often had to be made in hygienic design, or problems with the sealing mounting and occasional glass breakage had to be accepted. These compromises are a thing of the past with the new AseptraLine® longitudinal sight glass series.
The right seal geometry suited to longitudinal sight glass on pressure tanks is the key to success!
The special AseptraLine® seal geometry with guide notch seals off dead space and can nevertheless even out a slight level of welding distortion. This prevents transmission of stresses to the sight glass. The guide notch and retaining notch make installation simple and secure.
AseptraLine sight glasses undergo type examination and can be used for pressure tanks up to category IV, module G.
A sight glass pairing consists of the weld flange, dead-space-free sealing, sight glass, compression seal and clamping flange with screws. The stainless steel parts touching the product are made from material 1.4404 by default or 1.4435 upon customer request. EPDM, or as an alternative Gylon with FDA, USP Class VI and BSE-free certified is used for the seal material.
The new generation of sight glasses is available in three different lengths: 177 mm, 340 mm and 453 mm.
