Inertial LabsModel INS-BU -Low Cost Single Antenna GPS-Aided Inertial Navigation Systems

SHARE

The INS was unveiled in 2001 when Inertial Labs started manufacturing its first MEMS-based, IP67 and IP68 sealed and OEM versions, MIL-STD-810G qualified multiple interfaces and COM ports Single and Dual Antenna GPS-Aided Inertial Navigation Systems (INS). Each INS contains an Inertial Labs developed Tactical or Industrial-grade Inertial Measurement Units (IMU) and reliable single or dual GNSS receivers from suppliers like NovAtel, u-blox and Septentrio.

The professional model of INS, the INS-P, utilizes an embedded, high-precision, gyro-compensated magnetic compass, which allows the navigation system to measure and output high-precision Heading without GNSS signal even in extreme environmental conditions (temperature, vibration, interference from external magnetic field).

The Inertial Labs team of skilled engineers provides expertise to help users select and configure from the available models. Our support team helps set up units for all application bases to satisfy GNSS-enabled and GNSS-denied environments.

(1) RMS, incremental error growth from steady state accuracy. Post-processing results using third party software; (2) Under ideal conditions that include proper static alignment and in-field dynamic motions during loss of GNSS signal; (3) Heading accuracy in static environment is gyro-magnetic dependent; (4) tracks up to 60 L1/L2 satellites; (5) 50 Hz while tracking up to 20 satellites. 20 Hz position update rate for Basic model of INS; (6) dynamic accuracy may depend on type of motion; (7) time accuracy does not include biases due to RF or antenna delay, (8) If tracking GPS only. (9) Weight and size are PN dependent. Customers should obtain the most recent 2D/3D files before designing any interface hardware.
