Clearco - Model 63148-62-9 -Low Viscosity Pure Silicone Fluids
Low Viscosity Pure Silicone Fluids are clear, colorless, and odorless linear Polydimethylsiloxane fluids / PDMS Silicone Oils that range in viscosities from 5cSt to 20cSt (centistokes) 25°C. They are characterized by their low pour points, low surface tensions, low viscosity change at temperature (low VTC), excellent lubricity, high dielectric strength, RI Values between 1.3970 to 1.4000, wide service temperature range and inertness to virtually all substrates.
Availability: 1-gallon (3.785 liters), 5-gallon pail (18.9 liters) & 55-gallon drum
Description: Low Viscosity Pure Silicone Fluids are clear, colorless & odorless 100% Polydimethylsiloxane (CAS#63148-62-9) / PDMS Silicone oils with viscosities of 5cst, 10cSt & 20cSt (centistokes) measured @ 25°C.
They are characterized by their low water-like viscosities, hydrophobic nature, low surface tensions, low pour points, wide service temperature range, excellent lubricity, high dielectric strength, low V.T.C. (low viscosity change at temperature), high damping action and inertness.
Low Viscosity Silicone Fluids are widely used in Flow Control, Temperature Control and Motion Control technologies. They are especially advantageous for instruments, gauges and devices that are subject to low temperatures and high pressures.
Due to their low viscosities & thermal properties, they are widely used as laboratory bath fluids / heat transfer fluids, especially for systems that have to pump/circulate at extremely cold temperatures.
