The LPPYRHE16 pyrheliometer is a Class B instrument for direct measurement of solar irradiance, as per the ISO 9060:2018 classification. It is designed to measure the intensity of the sun’s rays, in watts per square meter, with precision and accuracy.
To ensure accurate measurements, the receiving surface of the pyrheliometer must be positioned perpendicularly to the sun’s rays, through the use of a solar tracker or similar device. The use of apposite diaphragms allows only direct light to hit the surface of the sensor, as per WMO and ISO 9060:2018 regulations, the pyrheliometer has a field of view of 5°.
