Magnetrol - Model Eclipse 705 -Guided Wave Radar Transmitter for Hygienic Applications
The Enhanced ECLIPSE Model 705 guided wave radar transmitter is available with a 304 stainless steel housing designed specifically for use in hygienic applications. This instrument meets the needs and requirements for the wetted and non-wetted materials, process connections and surface finishes of hygienic industries. se time make the TG1/TG2 the latest in thermal dispersion switch technology.
The Enhanced ECLIPSE Model 705 is a loop-powered, 24 VDC, level transmitter based upon the revolutionary guided wave radar (GWR) technology and is the easiest transmitter to configure on the market.
This ECLIPSE guided wave radar transmitter is designed to provide measurement performance well beyond that of many traditional technologies.
The ECLIPSE transmitter supports the FDT/DTM standard, and a PACTware™ PC software package allows for additional configuration and trending flexibility.
- Low dielectric measurement capability (εr ≥ 1.4)

The ECLIPSE guided wave radar transmitter is based upon the technology of TDR (time domain reflectometry). TDR utilizes pulses of electromagnetic energy transmitted down a wave guide (probe). When a pulse reaches a liquid surface that has a higher dielectric constant than the air (εr = 1) in which it is traveling, a portion of the pulse is reflected. The transit time of the pulse is then measured via high speed timing circuitry that provides an accurate measure of the liquid (or solids) level.
