The PeCOD® Optimized TOC measures the chemical reactivity and associated oxidative changes in Natural Organic Matter. (NOM) As a result, it is more sensitive than TOC and UV253 to changing NOM concentration in source and treated drinking water. The PeCOD® Optimized TOC uses immobilized TiO2 which is activated by an LED light for the advanced oxidation process (AOP) to reduce the measurement time to 5-minutes. Our PeCOD® Analyzer is optimized for TOC because it measures the reactive fraction of TOC.
