Decanter is one of the most important equipment in SBR technology(Sequencing Batch Reactor). According to the water collecting method, it is divided into rotary, check gate, siphon and float type. At present, rotary type is widely used domestically. And the decanter plays an irreplaceable role in wastewater treatment. SBR process is developing rapidly because of its simple technology and less investment. Its basic operation procedure is composed of five processes: Filling, Reacting, Settling, Drawing and Standby. A complete circle includes sewage inflowing and the end of the standby. The decanter can discharge standard water in fixed time and ration. So as to achieve the final goal of continuous treatment of sewage in the SBR pool.
The rotary decanter is mainly used to decant in the draining period, and it usually stops above the highest water level of the pool. The tank starts to decant slowly under the drive of the driving device (at the same speed of the decreasing water) and the water keeps flowing out through decanting, branch and the main pipe. Once the tank goes down to a predetermined depth, the driving device will begin to reverse, so the decanter return to the highest position and wait for the next command.
