MicrotecCentrifugal Sieve for Modified Starch Processing

SHARE
Microtec's Centrifugal Sieve is engineered for high-efficiency starch production and processing. Slurry is introduced directly to the center of the conical rotating screen basket where centrifugal force drives the starch through the screen. The design ensures that fibers and pulp are separated effectively, with the starch passing through and exiting the back of the basket. Integrated water spraying nozzles located inside and outside of the basket wash the fiber/pulp and prevent any potential screen blockages, enhancing operational reliability. This system is optimized for applications involving the processing of corn, potato, wheat starch, and the production of sweeteners and bio-plastics. Its technical reliability makes it suitable for industrial-scale starch modification processes where consistent performance and maintenance of screen efficacy are critical.

Slurry is pumped directly to the center of the conical rotating screen basket. Under centrifugal force, the starch is flushed through the screen onto the back of the basket and leaves the centrifugal sieve while fiber/pulp sliding off the screen and leaves the sieve from the front outlet. Water spraying nozzles inside and outside of the basket ensures fiber/pulp washing and prevent screen blockage.
