Hailan - Model HL10M -Mixed Bed Resin-Deionization or Demineralized Water Resin
The role of mixed bed resin is to deionize or demineralize in water treatment, which just means to remove the ions in the water to remove harmful substances. Because ions are charged atoms or molecules found in water, they have a net negative or positive charge. For many industrial applications that use water as a bleaching agent or ingredient, these ions are considered as raw material impurities that must be removed from the water. The role of the mixed bed resin is to remove ions from the water quality. Usually we call positively charged ions "cations" and negatively charged ions "anions".
Mixed Bed Resin HL10M – Cation (H)/Anion(OH) Applications
In demineralizer or deionizer applications, the hydrogen (H) form cation and hydroxide (OH) form anion resins are referred to as separate beds, and when combined, as mixed bed.
Ion exchange resin with hydrogen and hydroxyl respectively exchange unnecessary cations and anions, the formation of pure water (H2O), it is not ion, mixed bed resin is through the exchange between ion Yang and anion, the ions in the water out, leaving only the ions in pure water. So the typical applications of mixed bed resin include: ultra-pure water production, demineralization, condensate polishing (boiler water supply), microelectronics cleaning, pharmaceutical and other industries.
Deionization or Demineralized Water Applications:
Highly unlikely to be used by a home owner due to its aggressive nature, deionized water is commonly used in the production of:
- Pharmacies
- Laboratories
- Ingredient water
- Spot Free Rinse
- Kidney dialysis
- Power plants
- Humidification
- Window Washing
- Vehicle Batteries
- Anti-Freeze
- Any applications requiring ultrapure or low TDS water
Note:
- Keep the resin package intact and undamaged;
- Do not open the package under direct sunlight.
- Check regularly whether the resin packaging is good or not.
- Keep the storage temperature of resin between – 50 º and 40 º
- When opening the package, check whether the resin is slightly wet and spray pure water if necessary.
- Seal the damaged bags as much as possible when changing them.
- The frozen resin bags should be handled lightly to avoid mechanical impact and destroy resin particles.
- When the performance of the resin declines, please make full use of the mixing resin, which can prolong the service life.
