Mocreo -Â Model H1B/H2 -IoT Hub
Essentially, an IoT Hub is a data-collecting device. It is intended to remotely or wirelessly gather data from nearby IoT Sensors and then transfer them to the cloud server through the Internet. By gathering data timely and accurately, providing real-time monitoring, security alerts, tracking, and providing specific reports, the IoT Hub benefits several entities.
it manages multiple sensor devices and aggregates data to the cloud, simplifying the daily management of devices. People can unify the management and monitoring of devices through the hub.
By implementing functions such as encrypted transmission of data and device identity authentication, it can improve device security. At the same time, it can isolate the connection between IoT devices and external networks to prevent external attacks.
When the cloud processing capacity is insufficient or network problems occur, it can cache data in the device`s local storage to ensure the real-time and reliability of data.
For the IoT Sensor to send information to the cloud server, it must be paired with an IoT Hub. Once the correct pairing is done, the IoT Sensor is automatically registered by the Hub. Then it sends the IoT Sensor’s data to the cloud server, then keeps the user end updated.
For the number of Hub deployments, here is something to be considered:
- One MOCREO IoT Hub can support up to 10 Sensors.
- Hub signal coverage range: Generally, when installed on the ceiling and unobstructed, a Hub can cover the area of a circle with a radius of 65 ft (20 meters). Therefore, a Hub can manage an area of about 14,000 square feet (Around 1,300 square meters). However, if there is any wall or Sensor and Hub are not on the same floor, the distance might shorten greatly. Under this circumstance, it is recommended to add more Hub to cover the signal blind area.
