What are Comminutors?

Comminutors are specialized equipment widely used in wastewater treatment facilities. Designed to grind, shred and screen solids such as diapers, plastics, and other solids, Grind Hog comminutors are key to the effective operation of wastewater headworks and pumping stations.

Grind Hog Models at a Glance

Models vary in size with the smallest (130gpm) fitted with a 6" inlet flange that can be mounted "fixed-in-place" or on a slide rail system for remote removal. There is no minimum flow requirement for continuous operation. By-pass screens and controllers compliment the installation to provide uninterrupted service.
