All the features of the original 4500 Series HD electric upgrade and then some! Our exclusive Gate Flex™ option allows the rear aluminum torsion arm to swing with the door out of the way. This extra flexibility provides a clear field of operation whether the gate opens from the side or the top.

Our patent-pending 4500 Series HD gives you the smoothest and strongest tarp operation ever. It actually super-charges your Shur-Lok® using four spiral spring returns, front and back, to open and close the tarp with powerful, consistent tension – even in moderate wind situations.

Control Box w/Fully Sealed Switches
The new trailer mounted control box from Shur-Co^® has fully sealed control switches for better internal component protection. The new design eliminates potential grime build up between switches which can cause sticking of buttons.

Magnetic Braking System
The 4500 HD`s patent-pending motor produces optimal torque, not just an increase which can be detrimental to the system. The 4500 motor brakes through matched polarities, so there’s no moving parts to fail.

SMARTwire™ Sealed Wire Harness
SMARTwire’s sealed connections make installation easy – no additional wire stripping or crimping of connections required. The SMARTwire™ harness has molded rubber connectors and automotive silicone seals, precision machined  brass pins and sockets and dual 6-guage wire.

Pivoting Motor Mount
The pivoting motor mounting bracket offers freedom on two different axes to easily accommodate the occasional bent roll tube or uneven tarp roll. The custom protective bolt-on shroud provides additional motor protection from nature’s eliments.

Easy Installation
The universal mounting bracket accommodates most makes and models of trailers without modification. Its bolt-hole pattern matches most trailers’ rivet and rib spacing, allowing for easy installation. We even offer a bracket designed for sloped trailers. Arms come preassembled.

All Wire and Hardware Included
This powerful upgrade for existing manual or electric side-to-side tarping systems is as easy to install as it is to operate. All electrical components and wire needed for installation are included.

Available Wireless Operation
A cab-installed rocker switch allows you to open and close the system from the comfort of your truck cab. Our optional 5-channel SMARTransmitter® or SMART2™ wireless remotes control are available. Control multiple Shur-Co® wireless products with a single remote at ranges from 50 ft to over 100 ft.

Lifetime Arms Warranty
Our heavy-duty arms are the strongest in the industry – so strong, in fact, that they’re backed with a lifetime warranty. They come preassembled with the super-duty mounting bracket. The roller bearing-style rear arm bracket has a low-friction design that won’t wear out.

3-Year Motor Warranty
The high-torque motor, designed specifically for side-to-side tarping systems, carries a 3-year warranty. In case of power failure, the motor can be disengaged. (An optional manual override is available.)
