The C201 is a practical and accurate chlorine meter offering excellent precision and laboratory specification repeatability.  It even floats if you drop it!  As a maintenance free instrument, the C201 requires no further calibration or periodic maintenance once it has been factory calibrated.

The C201 uses the colorimetric measuring principle, which uses a specific wavelength of light to measure the depth of colour after the chlorine sample has reacted with the DPD reagent. This methodology is based on the USEPA approved standard 4500.  Using this method, the following ranges and resolutions are available:-

The C201 is an auto-ranging chlorine meter which means that when a sample vial is inserted into the instrument, the display reading in either free chlorine or total chlorine will automatically scale to the appropriate range using the defined resolution.  This means that measuring chlorine with the C201 is one of your easiest electrochemical measurements to take.

C201 Chlorine Meter Calibration & Operation

The C201 is a powerful and simple instrument to use.  With the large style push button operation and a custom LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), it shows the value of the measured solution.

Operating the C201 is simple. We simply fill a clean sample vial to the indicator line with our grab sample.  Following the on-screen instructions we zero the C201 instrument and select whether we`re measuring Free Chlorine or Total Chlorine.  The appropriate reagent is then added to the sample vial to give a colorimetric measurement of PPM of Free Chlorine or PPM of Total Chlorine, in our sample.

If so desired the C201 can be recalibrated from the factory calibration, however, the C201 is an instrument that does not require calibration once it has been factory calibrated.

The C201 is supplied complete with 4 x AAA batteries so that free chlorine and total chlorine measurements can be taken, straight out of the box.  With advanced power management, the C201 can complete inexcess of 3000 sample measurements using just 4 x AAA batteries.  This makes it a"must have"instrument for swimming pool, water treatment and other water quality professionals.

The CN20 is easy to use, accurate and reliable.  Adhering to the USEPA 4500 methodology of chlorine measurements you can be confident in the readings of free chlorine and total chlorine provided by the C201.

All the component parts of the C201 are incorporated within the kit; including a robust carrying case, sample vials, 100 packets of free chlorine DPD reagent, 100 sachets of total chlorine DPD reagent and even the 4 batteries!

With a straightforward push button measurement procedure and auto-ranging, and no need to recalibrate after the instrument is factory calibrated, so getting accurate turbidity measurements couldn`t be easier.
