Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer (ICP-OES) and Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) are used to test digestions that are made here at PREMIER. These take the form of lithium borate, sodium peroxide or sodium carbonate, to high-purity acids. This technique is suited for major and minor elements to provide a total material assay.
