All models operate at a high relative humidity to protect samples against drying out and to maintain the appropriate osmotic pressure in cells. Ideal for long term cultures.

For the prevention of micro-organism contamination within the chamber, it is normal to use manual cleaning or UV light disinfection. With the MD-90 and MD-240 there is no need as we have developed a solution to eliminate all contamination at the touch of a button. The MD-90 and MD-240 use moist heat sterilisation, where the chamber is held at 90 degrees C for 9 hours with humidity in excess of 80%. This is activated at the touch of a button and is a fully automated cycle with cool down period.
