From startup to NASA

Applied Particle Technology (APT) was founded by Jiaxi Fang, Tandeep Chadha and Pratim Biswas during their PhD studies in Energy, Environmental and Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.

Right out of the gate, APT won the Earth and Space Air Prize Competition, chosen by NASA and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). APT was chosen from over 20 finalists for excellence in developing new air quality sensor technologies.

Becoming a North-American leader in air quality monitoring

With hundreds of sensors deployed for customers like Teck Resources and Vulcan Materials, Applied Particle Technology has quickly grown from a promising startup to a leader in air quality monitoring. APT has tested their technologies with the EPA, NIOSH, and South Coast Air Quality Management District to ensure reliable and accurate air quality data.

By integrating advanced monitoring systems and AI-driven analytics, APT provides companies with tools to operate more effectively and responsibly, leading to cost savings, improved productivity, and enhanced health and safety measures.
