Model Palagreen -Continuous Treatment System for Rainwater

SHARE

Continuous treatment system for rainwater contaminated by hydrocarbons, produced by an ISO 9001/2008 certified company, suitable for the treatment of a rainfall flow rate of 5 mm, uniformly distributed over the entire drainage surface such as car parks, roads, warehouses and uncovered warehouses served by the drainage network and following a meteorological event lasting 15 minutes. The first rainfall system, compliant with Legislative Decree no. 152 of 2006, and suitable for burial beneath driveway surfaces, is made up of a continuous flow treatment system composed of a single monobloc spiral tubular element in polyethylene reinforced with galvanized steel compliant with the UNI 11434 standard within which is present:

A) A sand removal section, equipped with a PVC stub with a sealed gasket at the inlet with a 90° bend for slowing down and distributing the flow and, at the outlet, a PVC stub with a tight gasket, with a T-shaped deflector and of smooth polyethylene inspections for maintenance and bleeding operations.
B) An oil separation section for the separation of suspended oils and hydrocarbons, equipped with a PVC stub with a sealing gasket at the inlet with a 90° bend for the slowing down and distribution of the flow and with polyurethane sponge coalescence filters and vent for biogas in PE and inspections in smooth polyethylene for maintenance and purging operations.

PALAGREEN allows you to treat rainwater runoff from impervious surfaces such as car parks and yards, which are rich in debris and hydrocarbons. The first rain tanks are used to treat the first 5 mm of runoff water uniformly distributed on the surface. The function of these tanks is to purify the polluted water and prevent it from being conveyed directly to the sewer system. The water that passes through the tanks is treated according to the pollutants they contain. There are special sand and oil removal systems for the chemical-physical treatment of wastewater containing hydrocarbons, surfactants, settleable solids, heavy metals, etc. The water is then disposed of in the municipal sewer system. The waters from the subsequent phase (called "second rains", therefore with a lower degree of pollution) that fall will be filtered from the drain well directly into the main sewer pipe.

Standards and certifications

  • Legislative Decree n°152/06
  • UNI EN 858-1/2
  • Regional regulations on the treatment of rainwater

PALADEX technology also allows the creation of accumulation tanks on request. In this case the water will remain in the accumulation for 48 hours, and will be relaunched by an electric pump present directly in the oil separator (inside the modular) where the oils and hydrocarbons will be removed by floating, while the sands still present will settle on the bottom of the same. Emptying will take place via an electric pump activated after a time t from the end of the rain from an electrical panel included in the system which is in turn controlled by rain sensors located upstream of the system.
