The PD1102 Pinger Detector Hydrophone amplifier is developed especially for detection of acoustic pingers for fishery authority control in regards to: The council Regulation EC No 812/2004: "concerning incidental catches of cetaceans in fisheries and amending Regulation (EC) No 88/98".
The PD1102 Pinger Detector is tested and recognized by german fishery authority.
The PD1102 Pinger Detector is easy to use and operate. A unique feature with this instrument is to monitor pingers directly from the inspection vessel. The effective low frequency filters in conjunction with the Automatic Gain Control may under moderate weather conditions offer the unique possibility of monitoring pingers aboard even with the engines slow running and/or the vessel in slow drift.
LEDs are optical indicator for ultrasound frequencies received close-by. The pinger detector is equipped with 3 operating modes and 4 noise filters. Amplifies original hydrophone signals and alllows recording of all signals. Convert ultra sound signals into audible frequencies. mix both modes.
Filters reduce low fequencies of background noice e.g. coming from vessel engines and seawaves.
