PURPOSE

• Continuous automatic control of  density of industrial solutions, suspensions, slurries without physical contact with them;
• Control of the given density of solutions (with optional temperature sensor )

Area of application

Mining, chemical, metallurgical, construction industry, nuclear fuel cycle enterprises

Operating principle

The principle of densitometer operation is based on the transillumination of the layer of controlled liquid by the flow of gamma rays and measuring its density by degree of weakening of the flow density

• continuous displaying on a digital board of the measurement results, the operational input, reading and changing configuration settings of the densimeter;
• linearization of the measured value over the entire range of measurement;
• connection between the detection unit and the indication device at RS-485 / RS-422
• presence of additional inputs for connecting other sensors (automatic flowmeter, temperature sensor);
• presence of the interface of connection RS-232 with PC, possibility of unification of densitometers with local technological systems with the the issuance of information ASU TP of the upper level
• presence of galvanically separated output signal of two types:

-          Interface (RS-485/RS-422);

-          Current (0 - 5 mA, 0 - 20 mA, 4 - 20 mA optional)

• presence of technological remote control of settings that allows to change quickly the settings of the densimeter from the current position of the detection unit ;
• possibility of rapid processing of an abrupt change of the measured value;
• possibility of applying radioactive sources 137Cs, 60Co, 241Am of extremely low activity (105 Bq);
• allows to implement complexes and systems of accounting of solid fractions for technological or commercial account of the number (mass) of pumped medium;
• giving an output power signal "dry contact"with the unauthorized removal of the gamma-source from the working container.
