Model SPT/SPU Series -Self Priming Trash Centrifugal Pumps
Rotech manufactured self-priming centrifugal pumps are designed for economical and trouble-free operation in handling solids-laden liquids and slurries. A self-priming centrifugal pump possesses a large volute design that allows automatic re-priming in a completely open system. These pumps can re-prime itself without the need of suction or discharge check valves. However, this is possible only with partially filled pumps and completely dry suction line.
Depending on the type of model, a self-priming centrifugal pump can handle up to 75mm spherical solids. In case the shaft or bearings of SPT series pumps require service or repair, it is possible to remove the entire rotating assembly without disturbing pump casing or pipelines. Rotating assembly is sealed with an O-Ring, allowing for external adjustments of clearance.
Self-priming centrifugal pumps are very effective as they eliminate the need of valves, vacuum and ejector pumps which can get clogged or become impractical for usage after prolonged operation.
Another major product of the company is vertical inline centrifugal pumps. These pumps are close coupled pumps eliminating the need for extra space. Vertical inline pumps can be mounted horizontally as well as vertically directly into a pipeline.

Specifications
Casing
Radially split pump casing or volute with equal suction and discharge connection is supplied with standard 125# ANSI flanges connections working pressure up to 175 psi.
Pump adaptor or bracket
The cast iron pump adaptor is a key element for alignment of motor and pump components.
Motors
Industry standard flange/face mounted TEFC or ODP or JM or JP frame sizes of motors are coupled with pump end.
Impeller
Dynamically balanced closed impeller bronze or cast iron with full diameter or trimmed depending upon duty point requirement.
Shaft sleeve
Shaft sleeve supplied either in bronze or stainless steel construction.
