EQUIPMENT TYPE: Wet air, or other gases, depollution. APPLICATION: Wet air, or other gases, depollution. OPERATING PRINCIPLE: Packed towers are gas absorption devices that utilize an internal media of a variety of types to enhance the mass transfer of gases into an absorbing liquid. This scrubber design series can achieve high removal efficiencies on most gaseous contaminants with energy saving and low pressure lost. Packed towers can also act as a gas cooler. Some are fitted with ceramic packing that resist extreme temperature. They are also used after Venturi scrubbers in the same vessel. AirDep towers are designed at the optimal value of predicted flooding factor
