Model Types MH and MHS -Hydraulic Ironing Presses

SHARE

Hydraulic presses can form almost unlimited stroke lengths under force and are therefore ideally suited for ironing and slide forming. In addition to the classic vertical forming systems, Schuler also offers horizontal presses. Thanks to the clever integration of two mold chambers, the return of the ram can also be used for forming on this design, thus increasing productivity even further.

Threaded onto the mandrel, the blanks are pulled through the tool. The wall thickness is reduced exactly to the desired dimension, the final shape is created and the surface is smoothed at the same time. One ironing operation is usually sufficient for calibrating precise components. Long, slender parts are produced by large reductions in wall thickness on presses with a large working stroke and by arranging several rings in a row in one stroke.

  • high component quality in terms of dimensional and shape accuracy as well as surface quality
  • economical production through combined deep-drawing and ironing operations in one forming operation
  • no limits for component lengths due to unlimited working paths of hydraulic press systems
  • high output, especially with horizontal press systems with two mold chambers
