Model V -Packed Column Single Stage Vertical Scrubber
Our single stage packed-bed scrubbers are custom-fabricated and represent the easier way to solve well-defined air pollution issues.packed bed column single stage. Their classical application is acid gases absorption, salty mist elimination, VOCs capture and flue gas quenching.
The device is composed by a single packed bed absorption stage and allows to reach high absorption efficiencies supposing that polluted gas composition is well-defined.
The single stage wet scrubber can collect low concentrations of particles, that may be washed away from packing material. Anyway this device is not the proper one to collect high concentrations of dust inside the flue gas. We firmly suggest to install other proper devices such as Venturi Jet Scrubber or dry baghouse filters / cartridge filters.
Custom fabricated within 15 days of average delivery time, the single stage packed-bed wet scrubber is fully built in polypropylene plates as a standard material.
The packed column can work in two different flow modes:
- Counter-current flow: Exhaust air crossing the packing bed "upflow", and washing solution crossing it downflow
- Co-current flow: Exhaust air and washing liquid crossing the packing bed in the same direction, downflow.
As you may see in the picture, we propose vertical cantilever recirculation pump(s), but we can customize your scrubber with horizontal centrifugal pump.
