The MoisTrue pin-type moisture meter is designed for precise measurement of moisture content in various materials such as wood, construction materials, and leather. Utilizing insulated electrodes, MoisTrue is particularly effective for analyzing wood even if it's not entirely dry. It evaluates both overall and localized moisture distribution, providing detailed insights crucial for professional applications. The meter employs alternating current for measurement, offering stable and accurate results, even under high moisture conditions. It supports compensation for different wood species via a standard classification of over 400 species or a 4-group system. Temperature compensation is handled automatically by the internal sensor or can be set manually, ensuring dependable measurements, especially for wood recently removed from kilns. The inclusion of a USB and Bluetooth interface enables data export, while an array of optional accessories such as sensors and probes enhance its capability. The recommended moisture measurement range for wood is 8-40%, and the meter's accuracy extends across a range from -10 to 50 degrees Celsius.

Thanks to the use of electrodes with insulated stems, it is particularly suitable for analyzing wood, even if it is not perfectly dried or seasoned. It allows not only measuring the overall moisture level but also the distribution of moisture within the material, offering detailed and professional control.

MoisTrue performs measurements using alternating current, ensuring stability and accuracy even in the presence of high moisture levels. The compensation for different wood species can be selected between the traditional 4-group classification or the AS/NZS 1080.1:2012 standard, which includes over 400 species listed and classified individually.

The instrument automatically adjusts the moisture measurement based on the temperature of the wood, which can be set manually or measured with the internal sensor or an optional external RH/T sensor. This function is especially useful for wood freshly removed from the kiln, ensuring reliable results under all conditions.
