The MBBR technology is based on specially designed plastic biofilm carriers that are suspended and in continuous movement within a bioreactor of specified volume. It provides a small footprint solution for carbonaceous, nitrification, C+N or in anoxic mode for de-nitrification treatment with very low capital and operating costs.
