Newtec - Model nt-CLE -NaOCI Electrolyser Equipment for On-Site Production
Product: low concentrated NaOCl with 0.8% part of chlorine. The NaOCI electrolyser of the nt-series is modern equipment for the local production of NaOCI solution for different disinfecting applications. The basic principle of it`s operation is the following one: If a specific voltage is applied in the electrolytic tube without membrane which contains a 3% NaCI solution, a series of electrolytic reactions takes place. As a consequence of this reactions there will be generated a product solution with 0.8% NaOCI.
The occurring reaction can be described with the following short formula:
NaCI + H2O => NaOCI + H2
According to this formula during the production of ig NaOCI theoretically the ejection of 0.35I of hydrogen (conditions: 25°C, atmospheric pressure) occurs. The practical hydrogen ejection lies under this value. However, the ventilation system, which is responsible for supplying of a big amount of fresh air to dilute the hydrogen to a nonhazardous concentration, is designed for the maximal possible hydrogen production, to assure maximum safety.
