U-PVC Pipe Systems: U-PVC (unplasticized polyvinyl chloride) is one of the most popular thermoplastic materials used for pipe work installations; it is obtained from ethylene (43%) and chlorine (57%). Light, U-PVC has excellent resistance to chemicals and abrasion, is tasteless and odor less making it ideal for use with potable water systems. Its extremely smooth bore gives excellent low characteristic without sediment or deposit. Connections can be made by either solvent cement or BSP threaded fittings.
