Newtec - Model e-Dis -In-Situ Disinfection System
The in-situ disinfection system is a part of the electrolytic disinfection technology. The main point of this technology is the cell of electrolyse, in which flow special coated, patented eco-dis-electrodes of water that is necessary to disinfect.
By applying of direct tension at the base volt area the substance of water will be electrochemically transformed. Withal activates this technology preferential contained in drinking water chloride for effective disinfection on the base of chlorine. That way there will be achieved extremely high reduction factors for legionella, coliform bacteria as well as for other pathogenic germs already by very low concentrations.
The amount of produced disinfectants is prportional to the operating intensity of current, that`s why the process is simply to regulate and individually to adapt to the particular use case. The concentration of disinfectants is measurable with the required after DIN 38408 DPD unit technology. From this data sheet related to §11 of drinking water technology follows the licence of e-disinfector systems for treatment of drinking water and its disinfection.
The frequent used dose of chlorine with NaOCI solution underlines high safety requirements by storage, shipping as well as by dosing of chemicals and is always connected with certain health hazard. Moreover, it comes to the formation of harmful to health chlorine organic compounds as well as to spoiling of taste and smell of drinking water. By the in-situ-formation of disinfectants with e-disinfector occurs less waste of the disinfection effect. Negative changes of smell and taste don`t occur because of the reduced formation of chlorine organic byproducts.
An important differentiating feature of e-disinfector from other electrolytic technologies (electrolytic chlorination) is the transformation of natural water compouds to disinfectants already by very low concentration of chloride. Thereby it is possible to abandon dosing of salt and chemicals as well as using of dosing pumps.
