Nova - Resistance to Scratching Apparatus
“NOVA” MAKE RESISTANCE TO SCRATCHING APPARATUS For Decorative Lamination Sheet (As Per IS 2046:1995) is specifically designed for Laboratory Testing of Decorative Lamination Sheet. The minimum load applied to a diamond scratching point a defined geometry which produces a continuous surface mark visible tonaked eye, corrected if necessary, if the resistance to scratching of the decorative laminated sheet under test. Minimum load is determine by appl ying successively decrea sing loads to the diamond point and examing to the mark produce.
CONSTRUCTION:
“NOVA” MAKE RESISTANCE TO SCRATCHING APPARATUS For Decorative Lamination Sheet (As Per IS 2046:1995) is a digital unit consisting of direct digital display of the load in gm/N (Table provided on the unit).
A freely rotating supporting motorized turn table rotating at the speed of 5 +/- 1 RPM adjustable legs are provided for leveling.
A sidearm with the separate weight is provided. A holder for diamond mounted is fitted on side arm.
Hemispherical diamond scratching point with a po int radius of 0.090 N +/- 0.003mm and angle of 90 Deg, C +/- 1 Deg. C is mounted in the holder with the flat part on the leading side.
The system is also provided with side arm resting device.
