NPK’s sheet pile drivers use a hydraulically powered clamp bolted to the base of a modified vibratory compactor to drive large diameter pipe or sheeting into soil for foundation support or erosion control. NPK’s innovative sheet pile driver design combines the high impulse forces of original compaction models with the “gentle touch” vibrations that liquefy the soil to carefully and efficiently press the sheeting into position. Hydraulic operated jaws, which run on a secondary hydraulic circuit, assist the operator in grasping the material to be driven or extracted, decreasing or eliminating the need for a spotter at the hook up site. The 180° self-aligning swivel feature minimizes carrier repositioning. The combination of the hydraulic jaws and the self-aligning swivel feature make operation both safer and easier thus increasing productivity. The max opening for the clamp jaw opening for all models is 40 mm (1.5”) and as with all boom mounted attachments, sheeting length is limited to excavator reach.
