For years, sewage treatment plant operators worldwide have relied on nrw contec screens to solve their wastewater problems. Just as numerous industrial companies have their process or cooling water cleaned by the clever screen. It is the mix of stability, simplicity and low-wear design that makes a nrw contec screen so durable. A nrw contec screen is quickly installed, reliable and economical in every respect. The principle of the nrw contec screen has proven itself for almost 100 years and is continuously improved by us.
How a nrw contec screen masters water purification
The function of the well-tried nrw contec screen is simple:
The horizontally flowing waste water first reaches the semicircular perforated screen plate, which retains the screenings.
Slowly rotating brushes reliably convey the screenings over the edge of the perforated screen plate into the lateral screenings discharge.
At the same time, the water cleaned in this way “falls” freely downwards from the perforated screen into the outlet. In this way, the screen ensures an exceptionally high degree of separation of solids and, in particular, fibres.
This proven method has remained unchanged in principle since its invention.
Top separating ridge
Due to its mode of operation, a nrw contec screen easily achieves a particularly high degree of separation of screenings in the form of floating, sinking, suspended and fibrous materials.
nrw contec screens are compact. Particularly in smaller rooms, the screen scores points thanks to its optimum ratio of screen area to size.
nrw contec screens usually only need cleaning water for 1 – 2 minutes every 4 hours. And very little of that. Or none at all: The screen also runs without a cleaning device.
Low pressure
You want a cleaning facility? In terms of operating pressure, a nrw contec screen is satisfied with only 2 – 3 bar.
For a pleasant working environment around a nrw contec screen, all screens are equipped with a complete hygienic encapsulation. An exhaust air pipe connection is also easily made.
Monitoring-free continuous operation: Thanks to its robust design, a nrw contec screen rarely requires maintenance. Service lives of up to 20,000 operating hours are not uncommon.
You do not have to build your plant around our screen. We build the screen to fit you. In addition, you always receive a nrw contec screen ready for use. On-site assembly is usually not required.
Sure, a neat looking screaning system is appreciated. A nrw contec screen still cleans reliably even if it has not been cleaned for a long period of time.
Only the adjustable brushes come into contact with the medium to be removed. Ball bearings, shafts and seals are located above the zones in contact with the medium.
Particularly energy-saving thanks to low drive power. Depending on the application and design, nrw contec screens consume only between 0.45 and 5 watts per cubic metre of treated wastewater.
Easily adjustable brushes last up to several 10,000 hours of operation. Leakages due to worn seals between the frame and rotating screens or screen drums are not known to nrw contec screen.
