Active research and development on behalf of customers, as well as new and further development of products and materials, ensure the continuous expansion of the product range and make VFF a competent partner who knows and understands how to implement customers` needs. Our VFF Research & Development department works together with colleges, institutes and universities and operates its own laboratory and test stands.
These include:
VFF tower packing test stand:
The test stand has two columns with a diameter of 300 mm and 600 mm, each with a packing height of 2,000 mm. Here, using different sprinkling densities and gas loads, the pressure drop and other data of different types of packing are determined.
VFF distribution test stand:
At the distribution test stand, liquid distributors up to a diameter of 4000 mm can be measured. For example, the flow rate at the individual drip points is measured, recorded and controlled by a computer.
VFF compressive strength test bench:
The compressive strength test bench is used to determine the mechanical strength of different products.
