OceanPackModel Rack 2 -Wet Chemical Nutrient Analysis System

SHARE

The OceanPack Nutrient Rack is a complete laboratory for wet chemical nutrient measurements. In contrast to optical online sensors, wet chemical analyzers provide a very high resolution and a very low detection limit, as is required for scientific measurements in the open sea / blue water. It includes an automatic, backwashable water filter, the nutrient analyzers, a refrigerator for the reagents, a supply of distilled or RO water and a waste water tank for the chemicals. The reagent supply is sufficient for at least 4 weeks with a 20-minute analysis repetition time. The wastewater is highly diluted and can usually be drained outboard. The waste water tank must be used in protected areas or in ports. The fill level of all tanks is monitored electronically, in the event of an error, messages are sent and the analysis is interrupted. The filter for the sample water is automatically backwashed regularly.

The control and data acquisition is done by the Deck-Unit in rack 1. Please note, that a regular service due to the wet-chemical method and a chemical lab is required. We offer free training in cooperation with SYSTEA, Italy.
