Monera - Model MICROCAT ANSRL -Odor Control /Sludge Reduction Bioformula for Sludge Processing and Dewatering
MICROCAT-ANSRL is a liquid blend of preselected, adapted microorganisms for use under microaerophilic, anoxic or anaerobic conditions. It is formulated for use in sludge drying beds and compost piles to suppress hydrogen sulfide odors and enhance biosolids biodegradation and contaminant removal where oxygen is of limited availability.
ODOR CONTROL
Anaerobic microbial metabolism frequently results in odors caused by sulfur-bearing compounds. Such odors arise in sludge handling and drying, composting and in wastewater treatment. MICROCAT-ANSRL can help. Its specialized microbes can convert sulfides under anaerobic or anoxic conditions to elemental sulfur, which is occluded by the cells thus suppressing odors. MICROCAT-ANSRL is particularly well suited to applications in sludge processing, handling and drying systems. Such systems are commonly found in wastewater processing facilities particularly activated sludge and related biosystems.
BIODEGRADATION
The release of waste biosolids into the environment creates odor and contamination problems. MICROCAT-ANSRL supplies an inoculum of preselected organisms for improving biodegradation of waste biosolids under non-ideal conditions. The biological treatment of wastewaters is always accompanied by the production of insoluble biosolids. The amount of these solids to be ultimately discarded can be reduced by the regular use of MICROCAT-ANSRL either in the system that produces them or in the downstream sludge processing, dewatering and drying systems.
