Southland SensingModel EMD-485D/485M/482D -OEM Oxygen Transmitter - Kit, Circuit Board, Sensor, Sensor Housing

SHARE

The EMD-485D/485M/482D oxygen transmitter is designed primarily for OEM users who are looking to integrate this unit into a larger system such as an Inert Glovebox System or Nitrogen / Oxygen generator.  The oxygen analyzer kit is configurable for Trace or Percent applications and comes with a circuit board, sensor and remote sensor housing with 72″ cable. The analyzer comes factory selected to one of the following ranges: 0 – 10 ppm, 0 – 100 ppm, 0 – 1000 ppm, 0 – 1 %, 0 – 5%, 0 – 10%, 0 – 25%, 0 – 100%.  A second range is loaded via toggle switch to allow for ambient air calibration.  The local display will always show the actual oxygen value, the single range is to lock the analog output.

The EMD-482D comes configured as a 2-wire loop power with non-isolated 4 – 20mA output.  The EMD-485D comes configured as a 6-wire 12 – 24VDC with non-isolated 4 – 20mA, 0 – 10VDC and 0 – 1VDC.  The EMD-485M comes configured as a 6-wire 12 – 24VDC with non-isolated 4 – 20mA, 0 – 10VDC, 0 – 1VDC & bi-directional MODBUS RS485 ASCII..

The oxygen sensor is based on the galvanic electrochemical fuel cell principal and is manufactured in house under a strict quality procedure.  The sensors are self contained and minimal maintenance is required – no need to clean electrodes or add electrolyte.  The precision sensors offer excellent performance, accuracy and stability while maximizing the expected life.

Sensor Housing configuration options include a 72 inch cable and can be configured as a KF-40 (inert glove box, NW40F) direct fit or flow through sensor housing with 6 mm, 1/8″ or 1/4″ compression tube fittings

Designed to measure trace or percent oxygen in a compact OEM package with a remote sensor housing (72″ long cable).  The unit combines basic functionality, a local display and a single analog output range.  local UP and DOWN buttons allow for a local calibration.  This is an ideal kit for OEM users looking to integrate trace or percent oxygen readings into a larger system or users just looking to read oxygen from the local display.  Electronic configurations include a 2-wire loop or 6-wire DC input power.

Specific applications typically include continuous real-time monitoring of inert glovebox isolators, nitrogen generators, oxygen generators, reflow soldering as well as other industrial processes that require a compact OEM package.  Kit is also popular among college and universities looking to perform experiments with oxygen analysis.
