EMTEC - Oil-Concentration Measurement System

Fully automated system for the measurement of the concentration of cooling oil emulsion and other oil-emulsion liquids. Collants or emulsions for non- cutting machining / rolling of steel, aluminum and non- ferrous metals consist of an oil / water mixture. The optimum cooling and lubricating properties of the coolants depend to a great extent on the oil / water concentration used. Typical concentrations in such cases are in the range of 0.5 - 5 % oil in water.A problem generally encountered with all coolant units is that the pre-set concentration can not be kept 100% constant due to water evaporation, spray water losses, and entrainment of the oil. These losses have to be compensated for by replenishing the required substances. Moreover, undesired tramp oils that cannot be completely removed make their way into the coolant system.
