Oil Stop - Model SFB Series -Solid Flotation Oil Boom
Oil Stop’s line of oil spill and floating debris containment boom includes the SFB Series. SFB (Solid Float Boom) is a conventional foam-filled curtain boom, which is widely used for combating oil spills. The flotation for the curtain booms are cylindrical foam logs, with diameters from 2 to 18 inch.
Tension Member Options:
- All models available with or without top tension members.
- Standard ballast chains are galvanized steel. Sizes can be altered to suit a given application.
- Standard top tension is synthetic “paralay” cable (“Duravet”). Non-metallic to eliminate corrosion.
- Metal top cables, if preferred, are sheathed in vinyl tubing and carefully installed on the boom to assure proper performance as a tension member.
Seawater-Resistant Materials:
Metal components are either marine grade aluminum, galvanized steel, orstainless steel.
End Connectors:
- Standard or heavy duty universal slide, or quick connect couplers areavailable.
- Self-locking pins are standard for tool-free connection.
- All connectors meet ASTM F-962 criteria.
