OPEC - Temporary Bunding for Spill Containment
OPEC ‘Flexibunds` have grown in popularity due to their easy to use and store design, lightweight, compact and economical in comparison to alternative methods of bunding plant and liquid storage. Flexibunds are available in many sizes and are built to order.
Why Bund?
It is important for organisations to use this equipment in order to comply with Regulations, such as the Control of Pollution (Oil Storage) 2001 regulation.
‘Flexibunds` are a multi purpose secondary containment system used to catch fuel or chemical spills.
They are portable bunds which unfold to give effective containment (bund) for all mobile equipment. They are manufactured from hydrocarbon, UV resistant PVC coated fabric. They have non metallic sides. The standard sizes range from between 270 Litre capacity to 20 000 Litre capacity.
