Accurate measurements of wind directions are important for optimal upwind cranking of the turbines. Orbital´s wind vane is built of high quality brass and has been calibrated when you receive it.

Orbital´s wind vane with an extra 90 grader output signal is also used for yaw control of the wind turbines. Like other sensor from Orbital it is produced in brass and has been calibrated when you receive it. This type of wind vane has an extra 90 degrees output which enables a 90 degrees yaw crank of the wind turbine to keep the wind turbine out of the wind at 90 degrees.
