Outotec - Rare Earth Roll Magnetic Separators

Outotec rare-earth roll magnetic separators integrate advanced rare-earth magnet technology with extensive industrial experience to establish an industry standard for separation efficiency. These neodymium magnetic separators feature advanced thin belt tracking and patented belt guidance systems, enhancing operator control and extending belt life. The modular design allows for easy maintenance and scalability from laboratory to commercial applications across single or multiple roll units tailored for specific product requirements. Standard roll diameters of 150mm and 100mm are designed with optimal magnet-to-steel disk ratios, while various magnetic zone widths from 100mm to 1,500mm can be selected. Neodymium magnet qualities cater to feed temperatures up to 120°C, while a new high-strength magnet material is available for low-temperature operations, improving magnetic strength and field depth. Applications extend to numerous minerals like andalusite, alumina, and rare-earth ores, making it a versatile choice for diverse industry needs.

A combination of the most recent advances in rare-earth magnet technology and years of industrial experience make Outotec rare-earth roll separators the industry standard.

Advanced features and options make the Outotec® line of neodymium magnetic separators extremely operator friendly. Units include a thin belt tracking system and a patented belt guidance system to both aid in operation control and dramatically improve belt life. A removable cassette and/or cantilever design means easy servicing for maintenance personnel.

Outotec® laboratory magnetic roll separator performance can be directly scaled for your feed to commercial machines. All commercial units can be stacked in one, two, three or more roll modules. Each unit is modified to achieve your particular product specifications.

Standard Outotec® rolls are offered in 150mm (6”), and 100mm (4”) diameters with designed ratios between magnet disk and steel disk thickness. Each roll is tailored for the optimum magnetic strength needed for your process.

You can select magnetic zone widths from 100mm (4”) to 1,500mm (59”). Several neodymium magnet qualities are offered, handling feed temperatures up to 120°C. Additionally, a newly developed high-strength magnet material is now available for lower temperature applications. This advanced material has improved magnetic strength and depth of field, but only at lower ambient temperatures.
