PreSens - Oxygen Meter Fibox 3 & Fibox 3 Trace
The Fibox 3 and Fibox 3 trace are proven fiber optical devices for precise oxygen measurement. These oxygen meters are used in numerous applications in research and industry, like for respiration measurements or monitoring of cell culture and microbial growth - even non-invasively. They are portable due to their small outer dimensions and can easily be set up. Connected to a 2 mm polymer optical fiber the transmitters can be applied with various types of oxygen sensors, like for example sensor spots, flow-through cells or dipping probes. Optical oxygen measurement allows that the senors can be physically divided from the measurement systems, which enables to take non-invasive measurements with these devices.
The oxygen meter Fibox 3 is used for measuring standard oxygen range with sensor coating type PSt3 (detection limit 15 ppb, 0 - 100 % oxygen). With the Fibox 3 trace it is additionally possible to measure trace oxygen applying sensor coating type PSt6 (detection limit 1 ppb, 0 - 4.2 % oxygen).
Both oxygen meters are temperature compensated and delivered with a precision temperature sensor. This way optical oxygen measurements in environments with changing temperature can be taken and optimum results be gained. Both transmitters can be connected to a PC / notebook either via USB or RS232 interface. The included easy-to-use software allows measurement control and data collection.
The Fibox 3 and Fibox 3 trace have dual 12 bit analog outputs, and external trigger input to be connected to a data logger. The analog outputs are programmable to deliver oxygen, temperature or the raw values (phase or amplitude).
Whether you want to do non-invasive measurements in cell culture vessels, and might need autoclavable sensor spots, or you need robust dipping probes for field research, the Fibox 3 and Fibox 3 trace can be combined with a wide variety of optical oxygen sensors.
