PSA oxygen generator produces oxygen from the air under a certain pressure based on the principle of pressure swing adsorption using high-quality zeolite molecular sieve as adsorbent. The compressed air being purified and dried will absorb by adding pressure adsorption and desorb by decreasing pressure in the adsorption tower. Due to the aerodynamic effect, the diffusion rate of nitrogen in zeolite molecular sieve is much higher than that of oxygen. The nitrogen is preferentially adsorbed by zeolite molecular sieve, and oxygen is gathered in the gas phase to form finished oxygen. Then decrease the pressure to normal, the adsorbent desorbs nitrogen and other impurities to realize regeneration. Generally there are two adsorption towers in the system. One tower adsorbs oxygen and the other tower desorbs and regenerates. The start and close pneumatic valves are controlled by PLC program controller to make the two towers circulate alternately to meet the purpose of continuous production of high-quality and high-purity oxygen.

The complete PSA oxygen generation system is mainly composed of the following components: compressor, low dew point purification system, air storage tank, and oxygen and nitrogen separation device, oxygen buffer tank; if oxygen is needed to be filled into steel cylinder, the oxygen compressor and filling device shall be installed at the bottom.
