The wastewaters ,caused by activities of industriel establishments in production process, have pollutions that can not be generally biodegraded. When biological treatment is not enough by itself, because of wastewaters ,in different characters, that caused by industriel establishmentsor because of toxicity, then chemical treatment is necessary.
We, as Ekopol Ltd, draw upon our pilot plant works, that we have in our research and development laboratory, in projects that make for endustriel wastewaters. Because of the fact that determining pollutants in the wastewater has an active part in design of the wastewater treatment plant, so we determine the contamination character of wastewater, design operation’s characteristics and the type of purification.
Wastewater discharge (flow), qualification of treatment, investment and operating cost take into account in designing biological treatment systems. Therefore in design phase it is decided whether plant is ferroconcrete or package.
Chemical wastewater treatment systems are generally composed of some equipments such as; quick and slow agitation tanks, detritus tank, chemical solution preparing and dosing unit, dosing tanks, dosing and agitation tanks, quick and slow agitators, dosage pumps, motor-reducer, electric automatic control systems, sluice. Also there are sludge dewatering systems.
Chemical treatment is a method of treatment that changes state of aggregation of the material that is dissolved or perched in water. In chemical treatment process required substances, in wastewater that has an optimum PH, are precipitated with adding chemical materials (coaculant, floculant, polyelectrolyte etc.) and separated from muddy water. Application of chemical treatment has 3 steps, such as; flocculation, coagulation and precipitation.
Chemical package treatment is a compact unite which includes all the unites (flocculation, coagulation and precipitation) that are necessary for all the systems that works in chemical treatments’ methods.
Ekopol Ltd, produces chemical package plants coupled with walking platform that made of carbon steel. Productions that made of carbon steel are shrouded against corrosion by covered duplex two component epoxy paint.
Chemical package treatment plants are designed continuous (constantly) or discontinuous according to their capacity.
· Continuous chemical treatment plants are prefered in higher capacity.
Package treatment plant is composed of coagulation, flocculation and precipitation(defecation) parts. In this system there are water input and water output works constantly. Chemicals are given in the grip of automation continuously.
· Discontinuous chemical treatment plants are prefered in lower capacity.
Quick agitation, slow agitation and defacation processes take place in a same tank respectively (in turn in order). Chemical reactor vessel has a capacity of all daily wastewater and so it eliminate the necessity of collecting and balancing pool of wastewater.
