ERG Hygrade - Packed Tower Vessels for Counterflow Gas–Liquid Contact
ERG Hygrade manufactures packed tower scrubber vessels in corrosion-resistant GRP and thermoplastics for use in counterflow gas–liquid contact applications.
Vessels are fabricated to the required diameter, height, materials of construction and internal arrangement, with provision for packing media, liquid distribution systems and droplet elimination as defined by the system layout.
Packed towers can be supplied as standalone vessels or integrated into wider equipment packages within larger industrial installations.
Packed tower vessels manufactured by ERG Hygrade are commonly supplied for duties involving gases including:
- Hydrogen chloride (HCl)
- Ammonia (NH3)
- Nitrogen oxides (NOx)
- Sulphur dioxide (SO)
- Chlorine (Cl2), phosgene
- Hydrogen sulphide (H2S)
- Amines, bromine, nitric acid, methanol, and formaldehyde
- Packed bed sections with internal support plates to suit selected random or structured packing media
- Liquid distribution arrangements configured to suit the internal layout and access requirements
- Droplet eliminator supports in the upper section, arranged to suit outlet orientation and site layout
- Integrated or separate base sump sections, manufactured to suit the required volume, drainage and connection points
ERG Hygrade supplies packed tower vessels and associated internals manufactured in accordance with the defined design intent, materials and applicable fabrication standards.
Where projects require full process design, mass-transfer calculations, emissions compliance or guaranteed performance, these activities are undertaken by the appointed system designer or integrator.
ERG Hygrade’s scope covers vessel fabrication and internal components. Final process design, reagent selection and system performance responsibility remain with the system designer or integrator.
