The test consists of placing in the ground a conical tip measuring the number of shots needed.

Penetrometrice dynamic tests are very common in the territory and used by geologists and geotechnical, because of their easy implementation, cost and speed of execution.

The average measured efficiency (73%) allows to normalize the measured N20 values simplifying the correlations with other in situ measurements and mainly with NSPT.
