Fiberscope Zikmund - Pipe Crawler
Welcome to the ZIKMUND Pipe Crawler series which offer you to inspect pipe and sewer lines thoroughly. ZIKMUND series offers a professional inspection package for standard pipe inspections as well as a expert inspection setup that upgrades the existing pipe tractor to be able to inspect laterals. These versatile inspection cameras are available in lengths up to 1,640ft and can be equipped with sonde beacons for detection, laser measurement of pipe diameter, defect measurement and pipe ovality measurement. One unique benefit that ZIKMUND Pipe Crawler offers is a special technology mounted on the tractor for detecting unwanted groundwater inflow and infiltration.

The ability to detect the inflow of groundwater was an innovation developed by ZIKMUND and unique to us. When a camera reaches a flooded area, the source of it is often uncertain – it could either be water seepage or have run down to the site in question. Our systems can electronically determine whether it stems from inflow through a broken pipe or not. Results are recorded in a graph that reveals the part of the pipe responsible for the otherwise invisible inflow.
If a sewer is breached by groundwater, wastewater treatment plants are faced with an undesirable increase in the volume of water being purified. Detecting this kind of unwanted inflow is crucial to optimizing conditions for such facilities.
ZIKMUND Pipe Robot setup can be upgraded to inspect outgoing laterals that branch out from the mainline. This makes it possible to enter laterals that don't have a clean-out or are otherwise inaccessible.
