SMOOTH OR CORRUGATED? OR BOTH?
While water flows better in smooth pipes with less residue and therefore less maintenance, corrugated pipes have a higher ring-stiffness. They withstand higher loads and are therefore ideal for high traffic loads or installation at great depths.
MULTI-LAYER PIPES – A PERFECT COMBINATION
If you need both, high load capacity as well as ideal flow properties, you can opt for multi-layer pipes. Systems such as Pipelife Pragma combine a smooth pipe interior with a corrugated outer layer to achieve optimal performance and durability.
Materials
Polyvinylchlorid (PVC)
Widely used for sewage pipes, Polyvinylchlorid (PVC) is light, stiff and has little thermal expansion. PVC pipe systems typically have a push-to-fit coupling system for very fast installation.
Polyethylene (PE)
For wastewater systems, PE is highly advantageous especially for pumped pressure systems or where a trenchless installation is required. The pipe`s combination of impact resistance and flexibility is unbeatable.
Polypropylene (PP)
With their durable, high tensile strength, and resistance to chemicals and temperatures, Polypropylene (PP) pipes are ideal for wastewater systems. With the added choice of push-to-fit jointing systems, they are also quick and easy to install.
In addition, our Pipelife PP Masterwhich is built with 3 types of polypropylene (PP) layers for maximum impact resistance, high ring stiffness and tensile strength, equally provides excellent flow properties and abrasion resistance.
