Polytech's patented low entry vacuum filters are innovatively designed to tackle challenges often encountered when working with heavily aerated fluids. These filters function effectively even when the coolant entry height is minimized, such as 10 inches, and can manage aerated grinding and cutting oils without the need for additional transfer pumps or tanks. This optimized design facilitates direct draining of the coolant from the machine tool into the filter section, eradicating issues posed by fibrous contaminants. The unique design allows for swift filtration and transfer of dirty coolant to an upper clean tank where entrained air is efficiently managed before the fluid is returned to the machine tool by a dedicated pump. Capable of self-adjusting to varying operating conditions, these systems offer a differential pressure at least 30% greater than conventional filters, enhancing media life and performance. The SL Series conserves space with its compact design, while the SLE Series allows for larger discharges, accommodating substantial swarf hoppers, providing adaptable solutions for various industrial applications.

A low coolant entry height (as little as 10" ) or the use of heavily aerated grinding and cutting oils is not a problem. Coolant can drain directly from the grinder or machine tool into the filter section. The use of transfer pumps and tanks is not needed. These filters turn conventional vacuum filter design upside down. Dirty coolant is quickly filtered and transferred to the upper clean tank. In the clean tank there is time and space to manage entrained air in the fluid before separate, dedicated clean coolant supply pump(s) return coolant to the machine tool. This eliminates the possibility of pump cavitation and loss of coolant flow.

Our vacuum filtration systems automatically adjust to operating conditions. They provide the highest possible differential pressure offering at least 30% greater than conventional vacuum filters. This creates good filtration performance and longer media life on both water and oil based coolants.

SL Series: Our SL Vacuum series are very compact to conserve plant space.

SLE Series: The SLE series provide higher discharges to allow the use of large swarf hoppers.
