AVLModel PA-FID C50 -Portable FID Analyzer for TOC Emission Monitoring

SHARE
The AVL PA-FID C50 is a portable Flame Ionization Detector (FID) analyzer specifically designed to monitor Total Organic Carbon (TOC) emissions in both the process industry and laboratories. Engineered with flexibility and robustness in mind, the AVL PA-FID C50 meets stringent design standards, ensuring top-tier performance while maintaining cost-efficiency. This lightweight and compact analyzer operates with minimal supply gases, specifically ambient air and hydrogen, which enhances its portability and makes it ideal for difficult-to-access sampling points associated with QAL 2 and AST applications. Its modular and easy-to-access design simplifies maintenance, allowing for swift operator-initiated service actions. The analyzer offers reliable performance over varying ambient temperatures with minimal impact from oxygen concentration variations. Currently pursuing QAL 1 certification, the PA-FID C50 is versatile enough for use in diverse environments, including waste incineration and power plants.

Global environmental protection initiatives require a drastic reduction of pollutant emissions. According to DIN EN 12619 a Flame Ionization Detector (FID) is a reference method for measurements of volatile TOC (Total Organic Carbon) from combustion power plants. Regular service checks are required for permanently installed analyzers of Continuous Emission Monitoring Systems (CEMS). To perform these tasks, the analyzers have to be portable, robust and lightweight as sample points are often difficult to access. For cost-efficient operation, the consumption of operating gases are as crucial as maintenance requirements, both have to be minimized.

The AVL PA-FID C50TM is a Portable FID analyzer for continuous total organic carbon measurement in the process industry and in laboratories. It is specifically designed for robust and easy operation, especially when sampling points are frequently changed e.g. in QAL 2 and AST (Annual Surveillance Test) applications.

The AVL PA-FID C50 meets the highest design requirements and offers excellent test performance combined with cost-efficient operation.

Flexibility

The compact AVL PA-FID C50 is lightweight, easy to transport and requires a minimum of supply gases (ambient air and H2).

Robustness

Measurements can be performed over a wide range of ambient temperature conditions with a neglectable oxygen cross sensitivity.

Excellent Serviceability

The modular design and easy accessibility of the analyzer support quick maintenance activities by the operator.

Certification

A QAL 1 certification is currently under examination, which will enable the PA-FID C50 to be used for QAL 2 or annual surveillance tests (AST).

The AVL PA-FID C50TM is available as a portable Flame Ionization Detector (FID) with a front panel for local operation and as a 19” rack analyzer without front panel.

Measurements can be performed over a wide range of ambient temperature conditions with a neglectable oxygen cross sensitivity and a minimum of required supply gases. Thanks to the QAL1 certification, the PA-FID C50 can be used in various applications like waste incineration or power plants.
